Project LZR-1134 (Open RP)

As the soldiers and the two civilians moved inside, the one wearing the blue armband looked around carefully and spotted Red making his way over with a gun out. She held up her MP5, aiming it at him and spoke just loud enough to be heard. "Hold it! No sudden movements civilian!"

Eliza'd walk backwards, but wouldn't turn around, "Not gonna turn my back on a stranger with a gun."

Red glared at the stranger, sizing the individual up, keeping his gun drawn and trained. Definitely a pro, bein' able ta detect me laike that. B'sides, gangbangers don't use MP5s unless they're organized crime or some half-baked militia. The uniforms rule out organized crime and gangbangas, but the militia, not so much. None of 'em are this good. That said, Ah'm responsible for the civilians in that house. And Ah ain't abandonin' mah charges without a fight. Still, since that one's keepin' her voice down, Ah suppose Ah can return that courtesy.

He carefully kept his voice down as well. "Well, looks laike we both have a problem. We shoot out our pieces, an' whatevah's plaguin' this town will make us rest in pieces. So, Ah have an offah ta make. Y'all put down yoah MP5, Ah put down mah Kimber, an' we all dicuss this laike rational people, AFTAH y'all release the two people y'all have who happen ta be with me. An' before y'all make that 'civilian' wisecrack, Ah'm a federally licensed and bonded bounty huntah, an' Ah'm even licensed ta aid local law enforcement ta boot. Ah don't know about y'all, but Ah am not in the mood fer a fight with whatevah's out there. Me and a friend were about ta go on a recon run/rescue mission when y'all decided ta show up. Ah'm offerin' a chance fer this ta end without any shots fired. What will it be? We discuss this laike rational people, or we keep doin' this stupid dance?"

"You would also be advised that the bounty hunter has back-up.  Back-up who would probably be the poster girl for 'crazy prepared' for this very scenario," Celess spoke up.  "Smart of you to wear head-gear, but I doubt those lovely shiny eyepieces would stop a 357 magnum bullet fired from a Winchester rifle. In short I am armed, and will, always, aim for the head.  So would you kindly accept the man's offer, and let us discuss this like homo sapiens?"

The soldier stands her ground, watching Red carefully and listening to him and Celess explain the situation on their end. She keeps her gun raised for now, calling over to one of the other soldiers. "What's your call, Red? They don't seem to be bluffing, and we'll blow our position if we engage in a firefight."

(( Note: The Red-armband soldier is being called Red as her code name. She doesn't mean Red the bounty hunter as she doesn't know him yet ))

The one wearing the red armband takes a quick glance around at everyone present, then nods. "Fine." She lowers her rifle and raises a hand to her ear, before speaking. "Blast. Tank. Get in here, shut the door." Shortly after two more soldiers, one wearing a green armband, and one giant of a soldier at 6'8" wearing a yellow armband, come in through the garage. They both raise weapons at seeing the civilians but lower them right away after spotting Red with hers down.

"For some reason, it seems logical that you and your cohorts know a little something about our current infestation of locomotor corpus," Celess said lowering her gun, but not putting it away. "You have a military structure, yet neither military insignia, nor uniforms. Suggests mercenary or corporate. Covering your boss' asses are we?"

Red and the violet Armband both turn, looking to Celess. The violet armband seems to be looking her over. Red speaks up. "Not your business."

The blue-armband soldier lowers her MP5 after her fellow squadmates arrive, keeping her gaze fixed on the bounty hunter. "Alright, let's talk. But we're keeping your friends over here for now. They won't be harmed unless you try something stupid." She slings the weapon, which gives a glance of a sniper rifle also slinged securely on her back. She looks over towards Celess when she speaks. "You are observant, but right now who sent us doesn't matter. Whatever happened, we're here to find a way to stop it. Now how about telling us what you're doing out here?"

"Surviving. Mister Viper, Eliza, Barry, and myself were on a bus that was attacked by the locomotor corpus," Celess explained. "We came here, answering a distress call, en trout to what was going to be our base of operations."

Red turns to the Soldier with the Violet armband. "Lacy. Take Blast, and secure the house....and stop staring at the smart one." The one called Lacy turns and nods. "Right boss." She motions for The soldier with the green armband and shotgun to follow, and they both walk off through the house to check windows and doors. "Tank. Start boarding this place up. Whatever you can find. If someone is already on it that we don't know about, help them." Tank, the giant, nods. "Yes boss." Red looks back to Celess. "So what was your plan, then?"

"Well... Actually your 'Lacy', and 'Blast' are doing part of it. Securing this position against zombie attack. Mister Viper, and Barry were going to head out to attempt a search and rescue of Frank's wife, as well as try and secure supplies for this house. Guns, ammo, food, medical supplies. Things to help Frank and his family survive. My personal stock of supplies was meant for only four initial people, who could help secure a base and fortify it. Also, Frank and his family deserve a fighting chance against this zombie threat," Celess outlined, ticking off points, after slinging her rifle across her back. "Eliza, there, was going to have a sniper nest upstairs, to keep the walking corpses away... Never mind do some recon on you guys, unless there is another heavily armed group roaming this zombie-infested area, we don't know about. Lastly, the 'smart one' has a name. Doctor, of engineering, Celess Risdine."

Eliza nods, "I am of course Eliza. Was Sergeant. If you're with the military, you may have heard of my father; Major Cross." She steps back a bit more, "If no one needs me I'll get back to my set up."

The blue-armband solider looks back over to her squadmate with the red band. "I suppose we could work with them to set up a secure position, but we still have our mission to consider." She'd look back over to Celess. "But first, any among your group wounded by those walkers outside? I don't want any surprises endangering my squad."

"No. We shot any before they could get close enough. Bary, there, is wearing armor, in case some do, and they'd end up breaking their teeth on metal plates before having their head splattered by a mace," Celess replied.

Red nods. "Smart. But this place won't last. There are a few structures throughout the city that would do well for a stronghold." Lacy and Blast return, nodding. "No threats in the perimeter, Red." Meanwhile Frank seems to be calming down from his scare, but he still seems -very- wary of the soldiers.

"I have several PHD's, and write a moderatly popular blog on surviving a zombie Apocalypse," I'm probably the very definition of 'smart'."

Red chuckles, then takes on the tone of sarcasm.  "Well aren't you impressive?"  Lacy nods once.  "Actually, boss, she kind of is."  Red turns, looking to Lacy. "Eyes back in your head, got it?" Lacy nods and turns, looking around the room.

Celess blinked. "I beg your pardon, but... it would appear that your cohort finds me... Attractive?"

Lacy clears her throat. Red sighs. "It would appear so. Lucky you." Blast chuckles. Frank speaks up. "Do you still need those radios...?"

"Frank, is it alright if I use an upstairs window as a sniper nest? You said someone was up there, wasn't sure."

"People have the strangest tastes..." Celess murmured. "Oh, Mister Viper may still need them. As for this location, I was't intending on it being a permanent base. Just wanted it barricaded enough for Frank and his family to survive until we could bring them to a larger, and more fortified base. Bar the windows, and doors, make sure they have plenty of food, that sort of thing. I don't know what caused this outbreak, and unless I could get into a really amazing laboratory, I won't be able to find out."

The blue band soldier looks over at Eliza. "What sniper experience do you have? I'd also like to know all the vantage points you know of. I'm the sharpshooter for our team, so it's in our best interests if we collaborate."

"One year of almost constant marksman training, then two years in the field as Designated Squad Marksman."

Blue nods. "Then you're not a rookie I'd have to explain things to, that makes this a lot easier. What accessible vantage points have been identified?"
