Kros-Sair
Unaligned mercenary sharpshooter
Background:
A direct descendant of the great unrest warlord Prahvus, Kros-Sair mercifully never gained his temper but did inherit his talent for tactical insight. Not that there was much need for it as a Unilope herder.
On the other hand the fairly isolated life out in the Eternian wilds taught him the skills of self-sufficiency, patience and a deadly accuracy with bows and firearms. With such good hunting skills and a decent herd Kro-Sair did not exactly go hungry during his formative years, and he was content to live a quiet life, no matter the inner longings for something ‘more’.
Then one day, while his herd was out grazing near the mystic wall, there was a sudden shockwave and the massive orange structure collapsed, crushing the animals beneath it’s crystalline mass. It was only sheer luck that Kros-Sair was far enough from the wall that he was only mildly injured by debris… but his entire herd was dead.
Strangely enough he wasn’t truly shocked, horrified or even saddened by the loss of his livelihood. All he could see was on the other side of the rubble was the vast expanse of the Dark Hemisphere laid out before him. Deep within him those feelings he had suppressed, stirred and told him… “It’s a sign”. As far as signs went, this one was obvious. With his old responsibilities literally dead and buried, he had the chance to start fresh with any life he could want.
He returned to his cottage, tended to his injuries, then packing some modest belongings, his best rifle and a lot of ammunition, Kros-Sair stepped out the door and locked it behind him, and hasn’t returned yet.
Appearance:
Kros-Sair is a young Eternian male of medium build with blue eyes and shoulder-length dull brown hair. He usually dresses in a long brown overcoat, a wide-brined brown hat, blue pants, brown boots, fingerless gloves and a tan shirt with a protective breastplate.
Personality:
While he seems at first to be the grizzled solo hunter-type, Kros is a fairly decent person with decent manners, a good sense of humor and a flexible moral code. The one thing he isn't flexible with however is his loyalty to those he calls his friends, and will go to the barricades with them if need be.
Weapon of choice:
He is a superb marksman with most projectile and energy weapons with a leaning towards projectile weapons. His weapon of choice is a heavily modified rifle called ‘The Pacifier’ that utilizes pneumatics and clockwork to launch a variety of projectiles at high velocity with minimal noise.
Specialized projectiles for The Pacifier to date include Flares, Incendiary rounds, Harpoons, Rock-Rubber Rounds (high-impact, low penetration pacifying rounds), Paint rounds, Glue Rounds and Sparker Rounds (rounds that make an impressive yet mostly-harmless spark when colliding with an object)
Toyetic Feature of Character:
The Pacifier rifle is meant to be invocative of typical action figure spring-loaded projectile weaponry.
