Celess gestured to the shelter she had created. "I've made a roof. I was going to make torches to try and keep any wild animals away. This should do for now. Then we can work on something more permanent, first thing, tomorrow."

"That would be a good idea. Tomorrow, Ah'll see about makin' a map, an' cleanin' out that lake."

The next day, Celess started walking around the beach, checking out any debris for something useful. Metal could be melted, though she wasn't prepared for that, either. Plastics can be used to make things. Yay low melting point. Anything that's an actual thing could be used for its intended purpose. She kept looking, and used the old raft to put the items on, so they could be dragged back to the makeshift camp. They would have to move to another location. Closer to the pond, and set in a clearing. There would be the need for huts, and she would recycle the awning idea for a workshop.

Red was spending his morning sizing up the plant life before he left to clean out the pond he had seen the day before. The palm leaves were good for roofing, the trees might help in building shelter. He was also wondering how large this island really was. If the island is large enough, we might find our own way off the island. But Ah can't bank on that. Fer now, we need to set up shop

He wiped the sweat off his brow, and took notes about the plant and animal life.

Eliza finishes repairing and maintaining her revolvers, and counting her ammunition for her rifle. She spends most of her morning adjusting the sighs and attachments on her rifle, constantly taking it apart then reassembling it.

Krebs followed up behind Red, his empty 'laundry bag' tucked into his belt and in one hand he held a shiny stainless steel meat cleaver.
He wasn't sure there was anything hostile on the island but considering it was the closest thing they had to a machete or an axe he was willing to go through the hassle of carrying it along.
Despite having left New York as soon as he was a legal age to escape his flaky mother's health-food store he now was wracking his brain, trying to remember all the stuff she had taught him about the wonders of 'natural healthy food' straight from 'mother nature's garden'. Some of it was coming back and little by little he was remembering stuff... now whether or not it would prove useful was another matter.

"Miss Eliza, could tag along and watch my back, please?" Celess asked, when she had dragged back the materials. "I wish to scout for a nice defensible area that can be used for a base camp, so we may set to securing the area, and building shelters."

"What? Oh, yeah, sure." She stands up, packing her rifle away and holstering her revolvers.

"Thank you," Celess said, dragging the raft to a convenient place, and going back to her backpack and pulling out a couple of handguns, checking them, quickly, before moving into the underbrush.
