    Name: Reddick Thackeray

    Age: 22

PoB: Black Cactus, Arizona (fictonal location)

    Occupation: Bounty Hunter

    Gender: Male

    Height: 5'11"

    Race: Caucasian/Mexican

Favored sidearms: Primary sidearm is a Kimber M1911A1 custom pistol, with his AMT holdout secondary, and a Downsizer tertiary, all chambered in the .45 ACP. He always keeps a multitool in his vest pocket at all times, and a S&W Homeland Security knife in his left boot. He does have less-lethal ordinance, such as a taser, that he might resort to first to subdue a target.

Description: Sunfaded brown hair, usually kept under a faded black Stetson cowboy hat, with green eyes that are always seeming to scan the horizon. He favors practical clothing, usually cowboy boots, jeans, leather jacket, and if expecting trouble, body armor hidden under his shirt. His bounty hunter badge is kept visible at all times, and he will NEVER part with it willingly, keeping it in a pocket hidden under his shirt if he must conceal it.

Personality: He tends to be relaxed when he isn't on a job. He does drink, but never to the point where the booze dictates his actions, preferring a strong Tennessee Whiskey or a Kentucky Bourbon. When he is on a job, he stays professional. Regardless of circumstances, he follows a very strict code of honor as a bounty hunter. He never fires without good reason, has the appropriate federal licenses and is properly bonded and licensed as a bounty hunter, on top of having proper federal licenses for his sidearms. His main targets are bondskippers, deadbeat parents (both genders), and others who have skipped out on their responsibilities. The money is a formality, to allow him to keep doing his work. He doesn't suffer those who harm innocents gladly, and he has "corrected" more than one bounty hunter on his bad behavior.

He attempts to bring them in alive whenever possible, and treats them well and honorably upon capture. His goal is to reform as much as bring them in. Usually, the last thing they hear from him is "Next time, let's chat at a table over coffee, instead of in the back o' this car."

History: Reddick Thackeray grew up in the family business. His ancestors were members of the Bow Street Runners, others of his ancestors with Eugene Francois Vidocq and at least one even served with distinction in the Pinkerton Detective Agency. His grandparents were cops. Reddick himself grew up watching his parents fight for the right side of the law. His father was a cop near Arizona's border, while his mother was a Mexican who worked as a liaison between ICE and the Mexican Federales. However, when his parents were caught in an ambush by "Minutemen," and nearly killed, he grew rather disillusioned by the blue wall that tried to keep his parents silent.

Becoming a cop was no longer an option, so he became the next best thing: a bounty hunter He began apprenticing under a veteran bounty hunter, one who taught him well in the ways of honor and strength. When Reddick's apprenticeship ended in the bust of a number of drug smugglers, it turned out the truth was known. The "Minuteman" group was bankrolled by the cartels to discreetly eliminate problems at the other side of the border. The name "Red Viper" comes from how he struck down one of the leaders with his knife. His mentor commented that it was like watching a crimson viper strike from the sands.

Reddick has been a bounty hunter since not long after his 18th birthday, and usually starts at the end of his most recent mission.

Family: His parents, Isabella and Franklin Thackeray now reside in a ghost town they had taken over and quietly had begun to renovate it, both on disability due to the injuries they sustained. He has 3 brothers and 2 sisters, all younger, and one brother and sister having recently graduated high school. He does his job to help support them on top of everything else.

Other supplies: Extra changes of clothes folded and sealed in vacbags, $2500 USD (mostly in small bills), dossieres of wanted fugitives in the area, week's worth of rations, SAR kit, Zippo with refills, backpack, spare tarp (easier to conceal) Sleeping bag and bed roll, weatherproofing spray, metal pot for boiling water, cell phone (to keep in touch with his employers), compass, and personal survival kit in a tobacco tin (water purification tablets, iodine tablets, tinder for fires, bandages, fish hooks, matches and extra large condoms for water storage, all in separate plastic bags). Pack of cigarettes to smoke after a very successful catch, and wallet with essential IDs.

Roleplaying Hints: Work with honor, dignity, and respect. Respect the quarry you pursue, whatever they had done, because if you don't respect their abilities, you'll end up respecting the coffin they put you in. Keep your powder dry, and your mess kit stocked and ready at all times.

When on the job, be all business. After all, you have a rather large family to support, and most of your quarry tend to forget their own ties. Follow your code of honor at all times, whether on the job or not. Punish those who endanger others needlessly with their weapons. The innocent must never pay for the sins of the guilty, and bounty hunters have a hard enough time without getting their reputations smeared by loose cannons. Remind your captures of what put them in their predicament in the first place. Offer them a cigarette or a light drink of whatever you can get, and work with them without being preachy.

Off the job, sit back and relax, but always keep an eye open. Always seem like you're looking out for something or someone.
